Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Candidates with Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant qualifications are also eligible.
- Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) graduates are recognized.
Work Experience
- Minimum 2 years of officer experience in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank as of 31 December 2025.
- Candidates from private banks should have a minimum annual gross salary of ₹9.50 lakh per year, with proof via Form-16, AIS, or pay slips.
Local Language Proficiency
- Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the circle they are applying for (reading, writing, and understanding).
Exclusions
- Employees of bank subsidiaries, SBI clerical or supervisory staff, contract employees, and those who resigned from SBI officer grade are not eligible.
- Candidates with CIBIL defaults or adverse reports on character are ineligible.

Salary & Benefits
- Basic Pay: ₹48,480/- (Scale: 48,480-85,920)
- Benefits include Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA/lease rental), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Provident Fund, Contributory Pension Fund (NPS), medical facilities, and other allowances as per SBI rules.

Selection Process
The selection consists of four stages:
- Online Examination
- Objective Test: 120 marks (2 hours)
- English Language – 30 marks (30 min)
- Banking Knowledge – 40 marks (40 min)
- General Awareness/Economy – 30 marks (30 min)
- Computer Aptitude – 20 marks (20 min)
- Descriptive Test: 50 marks (30 min) – English Letter Writing & Essay
- Objective Test: 120 marks (2 hours)
- Screening
- Eligibility verification for experience and job profile.
- Candidates up to 3 times the number of circle-wise vacancies are shortlisted for interviews.
- Interview
- 50 marks
- Minimum qualifying marks required for final selection
- Local Language Proficiency Test
- Conducted before joining; not required if proof of 10th/12th standard study of language is provided.
Final Merit:
- Online Test (75% weightage) + Interview (25% weightage)
No negative marking in objective tests. Sectional scores are not maintained.

- Upload scanned images of photograph, signature, thumb impression, handwritten declaration, and relevant documents.
- Pay the application fee online (if applicable).
- Submit and download the e-receipt and application form for reference.
Only one application per candidate is allowed. Multiple applications will result in only the last valid submission being considered.
Important Instructions
- Apply for one circle only; selection and merit will be circle-specific.
- Selected candidates cannot request inter-circle transfers until promoted to SMGS-IV Grade or 12 years of service.
- Candidates will undergo 6 months probation after joining.
- Reservation for PwBD is horizontal, applicable only for benchmark disabilities (≥40%).
- SC/ST/OBC/EWS must provide relevant certificates issued as per government guidelines.
- Pre-exam training (PET) will be conducted online for eligible SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.
- Outstation candidates called for interview will be reimbursed for AC-III railway fare.
- Any legal disputes related to recruitment will be addressed only in Mumbai courts.
