RSSB Clerk Grade-II & Junior Assistant Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 10,644 Posts

The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has announced a large-scale recruitment notification for the year 2026 to fill 10,644 vacancies for the posts of Clerk Grade-II and Junior Assistant. This recruitment drive aims to strengthen clerical and administrative support across various departments of the Rajasthan Government. Important Dates

  • CET (Senior Secondary) Score Card Release: 17 February 2025
  • Online Application Start Date: 15 January 2026
  • Last Date for Online Application Submission: 13 February 2026 (11:59 PM)
  • Proposed Written Examination Dates: 05 July 2026 and 06 July 2026
  • Application Correction Window: Available after application closing
  • Final Correction Opportunity: Approximately one month before the exam

Applications submitted after the closing date will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Application Fees

Applicants are required to pay a One Time Registration (OTR) fee, which is mandatory for participation in RSSB recruitments. Candidates who have already paid the OTR fee earlier are not required to pay it again.

Category-wise Application Fee

  • General Category and Creamy Layer OBC/MBC: ₹600
  • Non-Creamy Layer OBC/MBC, EWS, SC, ST (Rajasthan domicile): ₹400
  • Persons with Disabilities: ₹400

Candidates belonging to reserved categories from outside Rajasthan will be treated as General category candidates for fee purposes. The fee must be paid through approved digital or authorized payment channels.

  • Rajasthan Public Service Commission – Clerk Grade-II: 06 posts
  • Administrative Reforms Department – Junior Assistant: 9,806 posts
  • Agriculture Marketing Directorate – Junior Assistant: 600 posts
  • Rajasthan State Agriculture Marketing Board – Junior Assistant: 98 posts
  • Rajasthan Pollution Control Board – Junior Assistant: 50 posts
  • Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan – Clerk Grade-II: 84 posts

  • Non-Scheduled Areas: 9,642 posts
  • Scheduled Areas: 1,002 posts

These vacancies include both Clerk Grade-II and Junior Assistant posts across different administrative units.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet all educational and functional eligibility conditions before applying.

Educational Qualification

  • Must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Computer Qualification (Any One)

  • O Level or higher certification from a recognized authority
  • Certificate Course in Computer Concepts
  • COPA or DPCS vocational certificate
  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science or Computer Applications
  • Senior Secondary with Computer Science/Computer Application as a subject
  • Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering
  • Rajasthan State Certificate in Information Technology (RSCIT)
  • Any equivalent or higher computer qualification recognized by the government

Additional Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script
  • Understanding of Rajasthan’s culture and traditions

Appearing Candidates

Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination may apply but must submit proof of passing before the typing test stage.

Age Limit

Age will be calculated as on 01 January 2027.

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 40 years

Age Relaxation

  • SC/ST/OBC/MBC (Male, Rajasthan domicile): 5 years
  • General Category Female: 5 years
  • SC/ST/OBC/MBC Female: 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: Up to 15 years (subject to maximum limits)
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: 5 years (additional)
  • Widow and Divorcee Women: No upper age limit (subject to service rules)

Additional age relaxations are applicable for certain departments due to recruitment gaps in previous years.

Salary Scale (Numerical)

  • During the 2-year probation period, selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly remuneration as decided by the Rajasthan State Government.
  • No allowances such as DA, HRA, or special pay will be provided during probation.
  • After successful completion of probation, salary and allowances will be paid as per applicable government norms.
  • Leave benefits and service conditions will be governed by Rajasthan Service Rules.

Selection Process

The selection procedure consists of two stages.

Stage I – Written Examination

  • Two objective-type papers
  • Duration: 3 hours per paper
  • Maximum Marks: 100 marks each

Paper 1 Subjects

  • General Knowledge
  • Daily Science
  • Mathematics

Paper 2 Subjects

  • General Hindi
  • General English

Minimum qualifying marks:

  • General Category: 40% in each paper
  • SC/ST Category: 35% in each paper

Negative marking of 1/3 mark will be applied for every incorrect answer.

Stage II – Computer Typing Test

(For non-disabled candidates)

  • Hindi Typing:
    • Speed Test: 25 marks
    • Efficiency Test: 25 marks
  • English Typing:
    • Speed Test: 25 marks
    • Efficiency Test: 25 marks

Minimum qualifying marks:

  • General Category: 36%
  • SC/ST Category: 31%

Candidates with disabilities will be awarded average marks of Stage I. Final merit will be prepared based on combined marks of both stages.
