Selection Process

The selection process for Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2026 is multi-stage and designed to assess physical fitness, knowledge, and suitability for police service.

1. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

This is a qualifying test to assess physical standards.

Height Requirements

  • Male (General): 170 cm
  • Male (Reserved): 168 cm
  • Female (General): 158 cm
  • Female (Reserved): 156 cm

Chest Measurement (Male Only)

  • General Category: 83 cm unexpanded with 4 cm expansion
  • Reserved Category: 81 cm unexpanded with 4 cm expansion

2. Physical Screening Test (PST)

This test evaluates physical endurance and fitness.

  • Male: 2.5 km run in 12 minutes
  • Female: 1.0 km run in 6 minutes
  • Ex-Servicemen: 1.0 km run in 5 minutes

This stage is also qualifying in nature.

3. Knowledge Test

  • Weightage: 97%
  • Question Type: Objective (Multiple Choice)
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks:
    • General Category: 50%
    • Reserved Category: 40%
