The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India has released an official employment notice for the recruitment of medical, paramedical, administrative, and support staff on a contractual basis. This recruitment drive is being conducted through Station Headquarters (ECHS Cell), Danapur, to fill 109 vacancies across various ECHS Polyclinics located in Ara, Danapur, Muzaffarpur, Chhapra, Darbhanga, Motihari, Hajipur, Siwan, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Samastipur, Buxar, and Patna-II.
The engagement will initially be for one year, which may be extended for another year or until the candidate attains the maximum age limit, subject to satisfactory performance and other applicable conditions. Educational Qualification (Post-wise Overview)
Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Polyclinic
- Graduate in any discipline
- Only Retired Commissioned Officers from Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force
- Minimum 5 years experience in healthcare or managerial roles
- Must be drawing defence pension through CDA
- Computer knowledge mandatory
Medical Specialist / Gynaecologist
- MD/MS/DNB in the concerned specialty
- Minimum 3 years post-PG experience
- Computer knowledge required
Medical Officer
- MBBS degree
- Minimum 3 years experience after internship
- Additional medical qualifications preferred
Dental Officer
- BDS degree
- Minimum 3 years experience after internship
Radiographer
- Diploma / Class-I Radiographer Course (Armed Forces)
- Minimum 5 years experience
Laboratory Assistant
- DMLT (Civilian) / Class-I Lab Tech Course (ESM)

Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Indian
- Reservation:
- ESM / Civilian ratio varies by post (60:40 or 70:30)

Age will be calculated as per ECHS norms. Age relaxation is applicable for ESM as per rules.
Salary / Remuneration
ECHS offers attractive fixed monthly remuneration:
- Medical Specialist / Gynaecologist – ₹1,30,000
- OIC Polyclinic / Medical Officer / Dental Officer – ₹95,000
- Radiographer / Lab Staff / Pharmacist / Nurse / Physiotherapist – ₹36,500
- Driver – ₹25,600
- Clerk – ₹29,200
- Female Attendant / Chowkidar / Safaiwala / Peon – ₹21,800
Salary is consolidated and no additional allowances are admissible.
