Hiring Notice: Part-Time Medical Consultant Required at GAIL India Limited, Ranchi

GAIL (India) Limited, a Maharatna-status public sector enterprise, stands as India’s foremost natural gas corporation. GAIL controls the whole natural gas process — from finding and producing the gas to processing, transporting, marketing it to customers, and selling it. They also have international operations. In order to assist its employees and associates, GAIL is seeking applications for the position of Part-Time Medical Consultant on a temporary tenure basis in its office at Ranchi, Jharkhand.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• The candidate must hold an MBBS degree recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or a State Medical Council.
• The applicant should hold valid registration with the Medical Council of India or any recognized State Medical Council.

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience is required.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), though this is not mandatory.

Salary and Remuneration

• The part-time consultant will be paid consultation fees at the rate of Rs. 2,500 per hour.
• Since the engagement requires 2 hours per visit once a week, the monthly remuneration will be calculated accordingly.
• In addition, conveyance charges will be reimbursed at Rs. 14 per kilometer for travel from the consultant’s residence or hospital to the GAIL Ranchi office, capped at 30 km or actual travel, whichever is less.
• The remuneration and conveyance charges are fixed for the entire duration of the contract unless revised by GAIL.

Selection Process

• Selection will be conducted through a Walk-In Interview.
• Candidates must bring their original documents along with a set of self-certified photocopies for verification.
• GAIL’s decision on the selection process will be final and irrevocable.

• Interested and eligible candidates should download and fill the prescribed application form (attached with the original notification).
• The filled and signed application form must be brought in person to the Walk-In Interview.
• Candidates must bring the following documents in original along with one set of self-attested photocopies:
  • All educational certificates from matriculation onwards, including semester-wise mark sheets and degree certificates.
  • Valid registration certificate with Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council.
  • Experience certificates supporting the details of experience mentioned in the application.
  • Two recent colored passport size photographs.
• Candidates should also bring a detailed resume or curriculum vitae.
• No application fee is required.
• Travel expenses or daily allowances will not be reimbursed for attending the interview.
