TPSC Hiring 2025: Opportunities for Senior Technical Assistant Roles

TPSC has opened up online applications for 230 permanent positions of Senior Technical Assistant. These roles fall under Group-C (Non-Gazetted) category and are placed in the Directorate of Treasuries & Accounts, which comes under the Finance Department of Tripura. • UR (Unreserved): 84 (1 reserved for women)

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

• Essential:
  • 3-year Diploma in IT/Electronics & Communication/Computer Science Engineering or BCA from a UGC/AICTE-recognized institution.
• Desirable:
  • Proficiency in Bengali/Kokborok (Tripura’s official languages).

2. Experience

• 1 year of hands-on experience in:
  • Treasury software management,
  • Software development/testing in government/registered organizations.

3. Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 40 years (as of May 13, 2025).
• Relaxation:
  • 5 years for SC/ST/PwD candidates and government employees.
  • SC/ST/PwD government staff receive relaxation only once.

4. Mandatory Document

• Permanent Resident Certificate of Tripura (PRTC).

Pay Scale

• Grade Pay: ₹2,800 (pre-revised).
• Revised Pay: Level 9 under Tripura State Pay Matrix 2018 (₹57,000–1,44,000 per annum).
• Subject to future revisions by the government.

Selection Process

1. Written Examination (90 Marks)

• Type: 90 MCQs (1 mark each) | Duration: 2 hours.
• Syllabus Breakdown:
  • Computer Fundamentals & IT (Networking, e-Governance).
  • Programming (C, C++, Java, Data Structures).
  • DBMS (SQL, PL/SQL, Triggers).
  • Software Engineering (SDLC, Project Management).
  • MS Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint).
• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted per wrong answer.

2. Interview/Personality Test (10 Marks)

• Shortlisting Ratio:
  • 1 vacancy → 5 candidates | 2 vacancies → 8 candidates | 3+ vacancies → 3× vacancies.
• Evaluation Parameters:
  • Technical expertise, analytical skills, communication, ethics, and awareness of current affairs.

Final Merit List

• Combined score of written exam (90%) + interview (10%).
• Tie-Breaker: Older candidate → higher academic marks in qualifying degree.

   • Register on TPSC’s portal to generate a User ID (sent via SMS/email).
2. Online Application:
   • Use your OTPR ID to fill out the application form under the “Senior Technical Assistant” recruitment section.
3. Fee Payment:
   • General/UR: ₹200
   • SC/ST/BPL: ₹150
   • Payment Mode: Online (non-refundable).
