Birangana Sati Sadhani Rajyik Vishwavidyalaya (BSSRV), a state university established under the BSSRV Act 2020 by the Government of Assam and accredited by the UGC, is calling for applications in the prescribed format for faculty positions. The recruitment includes six vacancies for Associate Professors and Assistant Professors in the Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics departments.

Salary

• Associate Professor: ₹1,31,400 – ₹2,17,100 (Academic Pay Level 12)
• Assistant Professor: Pay scale ranging from ₹57,700 to ₹1,82,400 under Academic Level 10.

The appointments will be governed by the rules and regulations of the university and the Government of Assam, including admissible allowances.

Eligibility Criteria

For Associate Professor:

• A Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution.
• A minimum number of research publications as prescribed by UGC.

For Assistant Professor:

• A postgraduate degree in the concerned discipline with a minimum of 55% marks.
• Successful completion of the NET (National Eligibility Test) conducted by UGC or any equivalent test recognized by UGC.
• As per UGC guidelines, candidates with a Ph.D. may not be required to have NET qualification.
