APSC JE (Civil) Recruitment 2025: Apply for Junior Engineer Posts Now

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released an official notification inviting online applications from eligible Indian citizens for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) under the Water Resources Department, Government of Assam. A total of 160 vacancies have been announced, and the recruitment process will be carried out as per Assam government rules and regulations. Application Fees

The application fee varies as per the category of the candidate. In addition, all candidates are required to pay a processing fee of Rs. 40.00 plus 18% GST (i.e., Rs. 47.20) under the Digital India initiative.

Age Limit (as on 01 January 2025)

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 40 years

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST candidates: 5 years (up to 45 years)
• OBC/MOBC candidates: 3 years (up to 43 years)
• PwBD candidates: Age relaxation as per government rules

Candidates must provide valid age proof and category certificates, as applicable.

Vacancy Details

A total of 160 vacancies have been announced for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) under the Water Resources Department. The distribution of vacancies is as follows:

In addition, 14 posts are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), including:

• Deaf and hard of hearing: 4
• Locomotor disability: 3
• Autism and related conditions: 3

Salary Details

Selected candidates will be appointed under Pay Band-2 and are entitled to all allowances admissible to Assam State Government employees.

• Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month
• Grade Pay: Rs. 8,700
• Other allowances: As per government norms

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality and Domicile:

• The applicant must be an Indian citizen as defined under Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
• The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
• Proof of residency must be provided in the form of a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) or Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must hold a 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or Civil & Planning from any institute recognized by AICTE.
• The diploma course must be a regular full-time program.
• Distance learning diplomas will not be accepted.
• Candidates must upload all semester-wise/year-wise mark sheets and the final pass certificate.

Other Requirements:

• Candidates must submit a declaration in Form-A regarding Small Family Norms as per the government directive.
• Applicants working in state government departments on regular basis must upload a certificate from their department.
• Those seeking service continuation or pay protection must upload a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer.
• PwBD candidates must produce a valid disability certificate.
