Airports Authority of India (AAI) Invites Applications for Land Consultant Positions – Contract Basis

The Airports Authority of India (AAI), Regional Headquarters (Eastern Region), invites applications from suitable retired revenue officers for the position of Land Consultant on a contractual basis. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced former government servants to utilize their knowledge of land and revenue issues by assisting a significant infrastructure project. The primary function of this position is to assist in finalizing land mutation in the name of AAI at designated airport sites in the Eastern Region. The task will be mostly airport-related work in Kolkata, Patna, and Raipur. This is a full-time, temporary assignment, meant only for conducting pending land-related formalities. Retired officers who have experience in conducting similar duties in the past and seek meaningful post-retirement activity are invited to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational/Professional Qualification

• Candidates must be Retired Deputy Collectors or Retired Tehsildar-level Officers from the State Government or equivalent departments.

Age Limit

• The maximum age limit for applicants is 70 years as of the last date of application submission.

Experience

• Applicants should have substantial experience in revenue and land administration work, especially in handling mutation processes and land records.
• Those who have served cumulatively for five years as Land Consultants with AAI are not eligible to apply for this position again.

Salary Structure

The consolidated monthly remuneration will vary depending on the previous designation and the nature of the posting location:

For Metro Cities (e.g., Kolkata)

• Retired Deputy Collector: ₹1,50,000 per month
• Retired Tehsildar: ₹1,20,000 per month

For Non-Metro Cities (e.g., Patna and Raipur)

• Retired Deputy Collector: ₹1,00,000 per month
• Retired Tehsildar: ₹80,000 per month
• Applicable income tax or other statutory deductions will be made at source.
• TDS certificates will be issued as per prevailing financial rules.

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting and Interview:
   • Candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and pertinent work experience.
   • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview to be conducted by the AAI Regional Headquarters in Kolkata.
2. Final Selection:
   • Selection will be based purely on merit, past experience, and performance in the interview.
   • The selected candidates will be engaged on a full-time basis and must not hold or accept any other assignments during the consultancy period.
3. Discretionary Powers:
   • The Airports Authority of India holds the discretion to approve or decline any or all applications without providing any justification.
   • The authority also holds the discretion to cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
