Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a government-recognized university or institute.
Work Experience
- Minimum 17 years of post-qualification executive experience in Civil/Construction/Maintenance departments within Government organizations.
- Out of the total 17 years, at least 5 years must be in planning, construction, operation, and maintenance of major infrastructure projects such as Metro Rail, MRTS, Railways, elevated constructions, or tunnel projects.
Desirable Experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of metro rail project execution and operations.
- Experience in property business, property development, and transit-oriented development will be an added advantage.
- Preference will be given to candidates currently working in Railways, Railway PSUs, or Metro Rail organizations.
Pay Scale Requirements
Candidates should be presently working in either:
- IDA Pay Scale: INR 1,20,000-2,80,000 OR
- CDA Pay Scale: INR 1,44,200-2,18,200 (L-14) OR
- 3 years in IDA Pay Scale: INR 1,00,000-2,60,000 OR
- 3 years in CDA Pay Scale: INR 1,31,100-2,16,600 (L-13A) / INR 1,23,100-2,15,900 (L-13)
Only experience in government organizations will be considered; private sector experience will not be counted.
Selection Process
The selection process will be conducted offline and may include:
- Shortlisting of candidates based on experience and eligibility.
- Written test and/or personal interview to evaluate knowledge, skills, and aptitude.
- Medical fitness examination as per NMRC policy.

Additional Information
Age Limit
- For Deputation: Maximum 56 years (as of the closing date).
- For Immediate Absorption/Direct Recruitment: Maximum 52 years (as of the closing date).
Surety Bond
- Candidates selected under Direct Recruitment must sign a bond of INR 3,00,000 to serve NMRC for 3 years.
- Candidates selected under Immediate Absorption must sign a bond of INR 1,50,000 to serve NMRC for 1 year.
Probation Period
- Selected candidates under Direct Recruitment/Immediate Absorption will be under probation as per NMRC policy.
- A three-month notice period is required before resigning from NMRC.
Posting & Transfers
- Selected candidates may be posted or transferred to any project office, site, depot, or regional office of NMRC in India.
