Eligibility Criteria

Essential Requirements:

  1. Current Government Employees:
    • Officers from the Central Government holding an analogous post on a regular basis OR
    • Officers with three years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level-5 (₹29,200 – ₹92,300) OR
    • Officers with five years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level-4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100) OR
    • Officers with seven years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level-3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100)
  2. State Government/UT/PSU/Autonomous Bodies: Officers holding regular posts in corresponding grades with requisite experience.
  3. Age Limit: The applicant must be below 56 years as of the closing date of application.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in Administration, Legal, Establishment, Human Resource, Finance, Accounts, Budgeting, Vigilance, Procurement, Planning, Policy, Project Implementation, Monitoring, or E-Governance.
  • Basic proficiency in working in a computerized office environment.

Key Considerations:

  • Preference will be given to officers holding analogous posts in their parent organizations.
  • Candidates cannot withdraw their application once submitted.
  • Private sector candidates are not eligible.
  • A minimum residual service of three years (as of the application closing date) is required.

Equivalent Grades for PSU Applicants:

For organizations with a different pay structure, the following equivalencies apply:

  • Level 6 UIDAI Post: Rs. 34,000-71,000 (Revised) / Rs. 14,900-27,850 (Pre-revised)
  • Level 5 UIDAI Post: Rs. 27,500-60,000 (Revised) / Rs. 12,520-23,440 (Pre-revised)

Terms and Conditions of Deputation

  • The deputation period will be for five years (minimum three years as per lending organization’s policy).
  • During deputation, salary, allowances, and benefits will be as per UIDAI’s regulations.
  • Leave entitlement will be governed by Central Civil Services (Leave) Rules, 1972.
  • Pay will be protected, but perquisites from the parent organization will not be carried over.

Facilities for UIDAI Officers

  • Officers currently availing CGHS medical benefits can continue with the same.
  • Additionally, officers will be covered under UIDAI’s Medical Reimbursement Scheme.

Application Procedure

  • Interested and eligible officers must apply through the proper channel using the application form attached in Annex I.
  • The parent organization must forward applications of candidates who can be spared for deputation.
  • If an applicant’s services cannot be spared, their application should not be forwarded.

Who Can Approve Deputation?

  • IAS/IPS/IFS Officers: Approval is required from the respective cadre-controlling authorities (DoPT, MHA, MoEF).
  • Other Officers: Approval must come from the authority competent to relieve the officer from their current post.
