Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit:
- Candidates must be at least 14 years old as of 31st December 2024 to be eligible for this apprenticeship program.
- Qualification:
- Candidates must have completed their ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in one of the relevant trades. The following trades are available under this recruitment:
- Welder – ITI in Welder Trade
- Electrician – ITI in Electrician Trade
- Fitter – ITI in Fitter Trade
- Motor Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) – ITI in Motor Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) Trade
- Electronics Mechanic – ITI in Electronics Mechanic Trade
- Candidates must have completed their ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in one of the relevant trades. The following trades are available under this recruitment:
Reservation and Preference
- Reservation for SC, ST, and OBC: The recruitment will follow the reservation rules based on the total number of placements under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961.
- Preference to Children of VPA Employees: There will be a special preference given to the children of VPA employees in the ratio of 4:1:1, i.e., 4 positions for children of VPA employees, 1 for children of deceased or medically invalidated superannuated employees, and 1 for outsiders.
- Sub-Ratio for Employees: The children of VPA employees will be further divided into sub-ratios: 2:1:1 (2 for children of deceased employees/medically invalidated employees, 1 for serving employees, and 1 for the general category).
Engagement Process
The selection process will be based purely on merit. The candidates will be shortlisted based on their aggregate marks obtained in the ITI certification. Only those who are shortlisted on merit will be invited for the document verification process.
- Merit-Based Selection: The candidates will be selected based on the marks obtained in their ITI exams.
- Certificate Verification: Candidates who qualify based on merit will be called for document verification. Please note that no travel expenses (TA/DA) will be provided for attending the certificate verification.
Training Period and Stipend
- Duration of Training: The selected apprentices will undergo a training period of one year.
- Stipend:
- The monthly stipend for most of the trades will be Rs. 9,387.67.
- For a specific trade, the stipend is Rs. 8,344.60.
