Educational Qualifications and Department-Specific Requirements

  1. Assistant Engineer (Mechanical)
    • Department: Irrigation and Water Resources
    • Eligibility: A degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or institution.
  2. Assistant Engineer (Civil)
    • Department: U.P. Jal Nigam (Rural)
    • Eligibility:
      • A degree in Civil Engineering from a government-recognized university or institution.
      • Alternatively, candidates who are Associate Members (having passed Sections A and B) of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil Engineering may apply.
  3. Assistant Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical)
    • Department: U.P. Jal Nigam (Rural)
    • Eligibility: A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or institution.
  4. Assistant Engineer (Civil)
    • Department: Rural Engineering Department
    • Eligibility: A Civil Engineering degree or its equivalent recognized by the government.
  5. Assistant Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical)

Important Guidelines for UPPSC Combined State Engineering Services Examination

  • Verification of Date of Birth
    Candidates must validate their date of birth exclusively through their High School Certificate. This document is mandatory for submission with the Main Examination application. Alternative documents will not be accepted, and applications missing this certificate will face rejection.
  • Reservation for Differently Abled Candidates
    Reservation benefits for differently abled candidates are restricted to posts specifically identified by the government for their respective sub-categories. A valid disability certificate, issued by a Medical Officer or Specialist and countersigned by the Chief Medical Officer, must comply with Rule 3 of the U.P. Public Service (Reservation for Physically Handicapped, Dependent of Freedom Fighters, and Ex-Servicemen) (Amendment) Act, 2021.
  • Eligibility for Ex-Army Personnel
    Ex-servicemen must ensure their discharge from military service is finalized by the application deadline to qualify for consideration.
  • Examination Schedule and Details
    Candidates will receive details about the examination date, time, venue, and roll number via e-Admit Cards. Attendance is permitted only at the assigned center, and no requests for center changes will be entertained.
  • Conduct and Prevention of Malpractice
    Strict measures are in place to prevent malpractice, including copying, misconduct, or lobbying for selection. Violations will result in disqualification, debarment from future examinations, and penalties under the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.
  • Communication Protocol with the Commission
